Mise-en-scene Seinfeld

I decided to comment on the mise-en-scene of season 8, episode 16, "The Pothole," from Seinfeld's series. I wanted to comment on this series because I'm currently binging it, and it's turning out to be pretty good to watch. It's hilarious, and unlike any series I've watched before. Additionally, I picked Seinfeld because the episodes are short, and it really bunches the information together for this assignment.  The episode starts off with a shallow space of Jerry Seinfeld and his new girlfriend in the bathroom brushing their teeth. However, Jerry was brushing first while his girlfriend was getting something in the living room, and he accidentally knocked over her toothbrush. Then, the space turns into frontality where the perspective is directly from the toilet's bottom to look at Jerry's face as he struggles to get the toothbrush out, failing to attempt to hide his disgust at the gross toilet water. Afterward, his girlfriend comes back out of now...

Five Master Edits with Sounds

Image
In the newly edited Five Master Edits with sounds, you'll see a sample of freshly added sounds that compliments each scene. Voiceover: In the Five Master Edits Video, the first series of clips can be shown to provide a Voiceover that emphasizes what's happening in the scene. The voiceover gives details on what the student is doing and how transitioning to the next voiceover demonstrates contrast by describing that the student is vibing to Tik-Tok.  Diegetic: Am example of diegetic sound in this film would be the clips where the two people/characters are walking down the hallway. You can hear the footsteps throughout the film, although this was added after to add a more sensible sound process (the original was quiet but used as the technique). However, this shows what the characters/people really hear throughout the scene. I feel like this adds the effect of the floor's texture or the environment of where these people are walking to give it more depth of what's truly h...

Three Film Editing Techniques

Contrast: I've put two clips in the series Squid Game on Netflix together to make the contrast from the series. The producers used contrast in the music and scenary by having a grand and royal music in the first clip then the second clip it would be the kiddish music. The first scene had a person wearing black and a mask which makes him ominous and the music making him the controller behind the scenes. Then the second clip has the people in prison clothing about to walk to the childhood-esque setting which contrasts to the first clip where it was regal.  This 2nd scene is from Squid Game on Netflix which demonstrates the master edit of Simultaneity. The scene exposes the employees (the people with pink hoodie and pants and shaped mask) marching and hauling equipment underground, which gives this gives a mysterious vibe. Meanwhile this discipline marching is going on underground, we get the view of the players that's walking in single file lines onto the next game in a colorful ...
