Three Film Editing Techniques

Contrast: I've put two clips in the series Squid Game on Netflix together to make the contrast from the series. The producers used contrast in the music and scenary by having a grand and royal music in the first clip then the second clip it would be the kiddish music. The first scene had a person wearing black and a mask which makes him ominous and the music making him the controller behind the scenes. Then the second clip has the people in prison clothing about to walk to the childhood-esque setting which contrasts to the first clip where it was regal.

This 2nd scene is from Squid Game on Netflix which demonstrates the master edit of Simultaneity. The scene exposes the employees (the people with pink hoodie and pants and shaped mask) marching and hauling equipment underground, which gives this gives a mysterious vibe. Meanwhile this discipline marching is going on underground, we get the view of the players that's walking in single file lines onto the next game in a colorful setup of paint on the wall. It's a total contrast from the dark vibe that's shown in the worker's march. There is also an irony because both the workers and the players seems very serious which is ruined by the player's scene where there is a lot of bright colors in the background.

Symbolism: The clip is from the series Seinfield on Netflix. The main character Jerry was applauding after a piano perfomance. Jerry had a Pez in his hand while he was clapping. It's a personification as if the pez was a real human being and were clapping with the crowd too. It's a symbolism to human life that Jerry is making the Pez to be clapping and the Pez is enjoying the show.
